Wilson Plumbing & Heating are now able to offer our thermography technology to assist with underfloor heating problems and leak detection.

Leaks from underfloor heating or pipework are extremely annoying and with water always following the path of least resistance this means that where it accumulates is not necessarily the source of the leak.

Thermography is an easy to use tool for finding and checking pipes for leaks. Even when water pipes are laid in the floor or under plaster, the heat of the pipes radiates through to the surface and can clearly be seen using an infrared camera.

This ability to find the exact location of a leak quickly saves both time and money.

Wilson Plumbing and Heating is very pleased to announce that we have achieved our Microgeneration Certification Scheme approval. We had our assessment in December 2011 and by the start of January 2012 we had received our registraton number.

The MCS is an internationally recognised quality assurance scheme which demonstrates to our customers that we are committed to meeting rigorous and tested standards. Similar to the Gas Safe Register, the MCS gives us a mark of competency and demonstrates that we can install to the highest quality every time.

In this rapidly growing industry, installers and products that carry the MCS Mark are likely to be seen as the preferred option in the market place. This is because MCS is linked to many of the key factors driving demand.

The planned Renewable Heat Incentive will provide cash back to individuals, business and communities for renewable heat generation. It has indicated that the Renewable Heat Incentive will be linked to MCS products and installers.

2012 marks a special anniversary for Wilson Plumbing & Heaitng celebrating our 20th birthday.

The company was set up in 1992 by Peter Wilson carrying out plumbing & heating work within Shropshire, over the years the company has seen different memebers of staff come and go and in 2001 Peter was joined by his son Gareth and they became business partners.

The business has gone from strength to strengh forging new ground with new technologies. We became installers for Nu-Heat Underfloor, supplying and intstalling their underfloor heating and as renewable energy has come to the forefront with have been working hard with Nu-Heat to supply and install heat pumps and solar systems.
